Fans of the NBA will no longer have to stress about the lockout, as instead you should focus your attention to the college basketball ranks, as the season kicks off tonight. We are roughly five months away from the March Madness tournament to determine the National Tournament. However, to quote Elvis Presley “It’s now or never” here is the sports betting final four prediction for March Madness 2012.
The four teams that will battle it out to determine the National Champion, will be, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan, and Vanderbilt. In the preseason top 25 rankings, North Carolina and Kentucky are the consensus top teams in the poll, as they return the most explosive rosters any bookie software agent could ever imagine. Meanwhile, Michigan will be building on last season’s success, in which they took then National title hopefuls Duke to the limit before losing. Vanderbilt, also had an impressive tournament, and brings back a veteran lineup of juniors and seniors that have been together the last three years.
If all goes according to plan, the two matchups will likely feature North Carolina taking on Vanderbilt, while Kentucky takes on Michigan. On paper, North Carolina has the potential to finish the year undefeated, as from starter to bench player they have the deepest lineup of any of Roy Williams teams in the last eight years. Those teams, included two National Title winning teams. Could this seasons Tar Heels put together the perfect season, or are they not ready?
On the other hand, while Kentucky does have a deep roster, if they draw Michigan they will be in for a significant battle. Last season when Michigan played Duke, it appeared as though Duke overlooked the Wolverines. It almost cost them advancing in the tournament. If Kentucky does the same, we should see a Michigan v North Carolina final.
